Our mission is to tackle chronic pain globally, and halve pain world-wide. A 'good' or 'bad' treatment decision depends on the patient and their unique situation. What we severely lack in the chronic pain space is a way for patients to better navigate those options, understand the technologies, and improve awareness around the pieces of pain patients affect versus what specialists can address, so patients can get the best outcomes possible. Illnesses, pain, and people are complex. What's right for one person is not necessarily right for someone else with the same diagnosis. Patients have to be able to ask the right questions and be empowered to think critically. Yet understanding the landscape of treatment options and algorithms physicians use to recommend treatments is typically a process patients are not privy too - which is not an effective system when they are the ones who must live with the decisions. Our Foundation aims to improve partnership, teamwork, and collaboration between patients and providers all over the world. Our landmark inaugural conference accomplished this locally. Now, we are empowering patients globally through the Empower You Foundation to further access critical information that helps them make better decisions about their care.
