As a physician, surgeon, and researcher, I am acutely aware of the pressing need to address the opioid epidemic and provide holistic solutions that heal both the mind and the body. This is a public health challenge that affects a staggering one-sixth of the global population, and our pursuit is driven by a deep sense of responsibility to make a difference. In this journey, however, we’ve recognized a gap that demands attention – patient education. It is with immense pride and excitement that I share with you our second annual patient facing conference, EMPOWER YOU LIVE. This groundbreaking event, taking place on October 18-19th, 2024 in San Diego, CA, is aimed at empowering patients with knowledge, autonomy, and the ability to make informed decisions about their health. A world-class faculty of experts from around the globe will come together to illuminate patients within the Southern California corridor, and your support can help make this event truly historic.
